80 year anniversary

WGI celbrates it’s 80th year in business producing high quality aerospace components to major customers around the globe.

WGI Today

Today, WGI Inc., provides critical ultra-precision parts in over 40 countries. As the future becomes the present, we will continue to set the standards set by our founder. “Our product is precision.” – Louis Filios

2001

To better reflect the skills and growth of the company, the organization was restructured under the corporate entity, WGI Inc.

2000

With the start of the new millennium, Fred Filios, Louis’s son, continued to expand production by doubling the manufacturing space of the company with a new facility in Southwick, Massachusetts.

1960s

The production of precision parts is increased up to 24 inches in diameter for use in the space program, military and gas turbine engines.

1945

The company began producing World War II military aircraft engine parts to aid in the war effort. By the end of the war the company, now known as Westfield Gage Company, had new facilities on Church Street in Westfield, MA.

1941

Louis Filios starts “Acme Grinding” in the barn of his parents house.
